Adolf-50 Years
Dany and Sheila Adolf will celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Their children will be hosting a reception in their honor that day at Cascade Gardens in Yakima. As part of the celebration, Dany and Sheila will be renewing their wedding vows before their close family and friends. The couple has three children: Scott (Theresa) Adolf of Wenatchee, Alan (Vernita) Adolf of Yakima, and Diane (Kevin) Sybouts of Yakima. The couple also has 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Dany and Sheila were married at Faith Lutheran Church in Toppenish. Both graduated from Wapato High School. They were high school sweethearts.
Dany retired from GE Aviation in 2010 after 46 years of service with the company. Sheila also retired in 2010 from the Wapato School District after 31 years of service. The couple has always made the Yakima valley their home.
A pre-anniversary gift from their children sent the couple on a week-long Alaskan cruise in August.
