McCay-65 Years
Bill McCay and Veda Loveland were married on December 11, 1948, in Yakima. They have been long time residents of the Yakima Valley having lived here for 64 years; currently residing in Selah. Bill retired after working for 37 years as the plant scheduler for Weyerhaeuser Company in Union Gap. Veda retired after a career as a meat wrapper for Safeway. They have been lifelong members of the Church of Christ on Ahtanum Road (formerly the Armstrong School Building). The couple have four children, all residing in the Yakima Valley. Bill McCay Jr. (Cinde), and Michael McCay (Kay) of Selah; and Teri Walsh (Rick) and Kelly McCay (Kate) residing in Yakima. They also have 17 grandchildren and a house full of loving great-grandchildren. A dinner of family and friends is being hosted by the children to celebrate 65 wonderful years of marriage for a great and loving couple.
